Working Livery

Working Livery

Our flexible approach to working livery is popular with owners, especially those lacking time, students busy with school or university, and ex competition horses who are not ready to retire but require quality care . We offer free livery, assuming horses are regularly used for a minimum of 4 lessons per week. Owners can be assured of the very highest quality care, with numerous references available.  Most of our school horses have arrived by word of mouth, via recommendations from owners who are delighted with how their horses return to them at the end of their stay.  Due to our commitments to the UEA, term times are a busy period for us – therefore it is possible for owners to have greater use of their horse over weekends and holidays if required.  Horses can remain at Nine Acres, or enjoy a change of scene at home. You can see more about the high standard of care we offer to all of our horses here

W occasionally have vacancies for horses on working livery fulfilling the following criteria:

  • 14hh upward
  • Sound and happy to work as part of a ride or independently.
  • Sufficiently well schooled to obey light aids for walk, trot and canter, allowing our riders to remain balanced.
  • We require horses for a variety of riders, but we do not accept any horses with ridden vices (Bucking, rearing, bolting) under any circumstances.

Please get in touch if you feel our training centre and your horse would benefit.
