Chrissy takes the role of Yard Manager at Nine Acres, and oversees the strengthening and conditioning all the school horses and training liveries. She works closely with ACPAT Physiotherapist Jo Spear, constantly assessing the horses and progressing their work to help them reach their potential, enjoy their work and maintain soundness.
Chrissy was introduced to horses at an early age, and was always intrigued by behaviour and training methods. After enjoying a range of Pony Club activities she studied Equine Science and Welfare, which led to a variety of roles in the industry.
Since 2005 she has been based in rehabilitation centres, working with sport horses and race horses, conditioning them to return to work following injury.
From there she joined the the team at World Horse Welfare, where played a leading role in the rehabilitation and rehoming of horses of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds.
Over the last 10 years Chrissy has developed a strong interest in sustainable training methods, working to improve equine movement patterns in order to help maintain soundness in horses.
Away from helping owners with their horses Chrissy enjoys spending time with her husband, two dogs and her current WHW horse Melody.
